Powerful Brushcutter for Landscape Maintenance
Powerful brushcutter for tougher jobs and larger areas of tall grass. Simplified starting, bike handle, control handle with stop button, 4-MIX® engine with larger tank for increased cutting time between filling, rigid drive shaft.
Supplied with ADVANCE universal harness, AutoCut C 26-2 mowing head and GrassCut 230-2 metal blade.
Don’t forget to check your work area for wildlife before starting to use your tool. In particular, you should check for nesting birds before trimming hedges, as well as checking for other small animals such as hedgehogs before trimming long grass.
STIHL professional tip – to get the most from your mowing line, we recommend popping it in a bucket of water for 12-24 hours before using it to make it more flexible and less likely to break.

Decompression system
The decompression valve allows some of the compression pressure in the cylinder to escape, so less force on the starter rope is needed.

STIHL 4-MIX® engine technology provides fast acceleration, more power, added torque, lower noise, reduced emissions and increased fuel efficiency to complete jobs quickly, quietly and more easily.
Air filter with long service life
The easily accessible paper filter with a long service life means it can go for long intervals without changing. (similar to illustration)
Manual fuel pump (Purger)
A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operations.
Bike handle
When used in conjunction with a harness, the bike handle enables a smooth mowing action. The bike handle allows the machine to be easily guided, making it ideal for working on large areas and thus reducing fatigue.
Anti-vibration system
Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL has therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system whereby the oscillations from the machine’s engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.

All the engine and speed controls are easily accessible and at your fingertips.
Tool-free handle adjustment
The handle bar can be easily adjusted to suit the users working position via the tool-free handle adjustment clamp.
ADVANCE Universal Harness
Soft padding makes work more comfortable during longer jobs.
Stop switch
The multi-function control handle features a stop switch which automatically reverts back to the start position for a quicker, simple restart.
